SYNLUBE
1711
Applications
Synlube 1711 formula No. 6375 is the industry "cure all" for
tough release problems. It is especially suitable for polyurethanes,
epoxies, and Viton® and can be used to demold solid urethane tires,
epoxy patterns, air filter caps, encapsulated components, rollers, friction
drive wheels, impeller blades, etc. Synlube 1711 can also be used with
ABS resin, polyesters, and other thermoplastics.
Characteristics
The working temperature of Synlube 1711 is from ambient to 302°
F (150° C). It has very low viscosity, good wetting action, and
spreads uniformly and evenly when sparingly applied. It is stable, non-corrosive,
and will not cause mold buildup.
Instructions for
Use
Aerosol-Note: Always use aerosol and solvent diluted materials in
a well-ventilated area.
Spray lightly and evenly
on clean mold surfaces. Best results are obtained from thin films. Allow
the solvent in Synlube 1711 to evaporate and the surface to air dry
for approximately 10 minutes. For quicker drying times, dry the master
or mold surface with warm air. Use sparingly; too much release agent
tends to build up and cover some details on the master or mold surface.
Wipe off excess with lint free paper. Best results are obtained from
thin films.
Bulk
Note: Always use aerosol and solvent diluted materials in a well-ventilated
area.
Spray using an airless spray
gun. For optimum results, do not use a brush or cloth to apply Synlube
1711.

Storage and Handling
Be sure to read the Material Safety Data Sheet that comes with Synlube
1711 before using. Store in a cool dry place away from heat and sunlight.
Recommended storage temperature is below 100° F (37.7° C). For
the bulk version, keep container tightly closed to prevent solvent evaporation.
Vent containers occasionally to relieve pressure especially in warm
weather. Aerosol cans should not be punctured, incinerated, or used
near a source of ignition.
